JESUS ANSWERED HIM, “SCRIPTURE SAYS…”

LUKE 4:7-8  “[7] So if you will worship me, all this will be yours.”  [8] Jesus answered him, “Scripture says, ‘Worship the Lord your God and serve only him.’ ”

There are so many opportunities and things that come our way where we must choose. The choice is, am I going to believe what the Word says or am I going to choose what I want. Am I going to get discouraged when things don’t work out the way I want them to or am I going to hold on to what the Word says. If Jesus had bowed before satan, He would not have to die on the cross, but we would have been under satan’s power.

It would have offered a short-term solution but resulted in eternal destruction. Because Jesus said, it is written and stood by it and died, we have hope and a hopeful future. Do not doubt, stand firm, and do what is written in the Word, and the peace of God will be your eternal reward.
