YOU ARE PRECIOUS
PROVERBS 31:30 “Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.”
PROVERBS 31:10 “An excellent woman [one who is spiritual, capable, intelligent, and virtuous], who is he who can find her? Her value is more precious than jewels and her worth is far above rubies or pearls.”
When we walk in God’s Light, we see people through God’s Light. I had the privilege of having a virtuous mother, and yes, her value was far above rubies and pearls. My wife fears the Lord and she enjoys praising the Lord and to worship Him, based on that, the Word says I should praise her. The women I know who serve the Lord have a beauty that is different.
1 PETER 3:3-4 AMP “[3] Your adornment must not be merely external – with interweaving and elaborate knotting of the hair, and wearing gold jewelry, or [being superficially preoccupied with] dressing in expensive clothes; [4] but let it be [the inner beauty of] the hidden person of the heart, with the imperishable quality and unfading charm of a gentle and peaceful spirit, [one that is calm and self-controlled, not overanxious, but serene and spiritually mature] which is very precious in the sight of God.”
Do you really want to be beautiful? Let the light of Jesus shine through you. Mother Teresa is not known for what she looked like but for the fruit she bore. One of her famous statements was “When Jesus is all you have left, you will realize you have more than enough”. Remember; beauty perishes but virtue endures.
This also applies to us men.
