THE LIGHT OF KNOWLEDGE
2 CORINTHIANS 4:6 “For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.”
Once we get the knowledge we must pray for the revelation of that knowledge. When we get knowledge, it doesn’t mean much if we don’t implement, understand and apply that knowledge in our lives. It’s like gas, there can be gas, the gas valve can be open, you smell the gas and the gas that is supposed to give heat or light can kill you if it is not ignited – in the correct way – otherwise it leads to an explosion.
Knowledge of the Word without the enlightenment of the Holy Spirit is deadly. It leads to condemnation like the Scribes and Pharisees and likes to crucify others. When the Lord through the Holy Spirit reveals this knowledge to us, it brings light into the darkness, it shines for others, and places us above our circumstances.
May God shine in and through us so that we give light and hope to others.
