THE JOY OF THE LORD

THE JOY OF THE LORD IS OUR STRENGTH

PSALMS 103:2 AMPC  “Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul, and forget not [one of] all His benefits.”

Praise is not linked to circumstances but to the condition of our heart and a choice.

HABAKKUK 3:17-18 AMPC  “[17]  Though the fig tree does not blossom and there is no fruit on the vines, [though] the product of the olive fails and the fields yield no food, though the flock is cut off from the fold and there are no cattle in the stalls, [18]  Yet I will rejoice in the Lord; I will exult in the [victorious] God of my salvation!”

In these times the Word says, even if you lose the good things in your life, even if you lose your job, your house and all your possessions. Even if you lose your investments and pension. Nevertheless, I must be able to rejoice in the Lord and be glad in my God.  It is possible for a person to lose all their money and possessions. But if we are anchored in God and our house is built on The Rock, nothing can steal our joy in the Lord.

To be able to do this, my trust and faith must be entirely on and in the Lord. Understand that the joy of the Lord is our strength, NEHEMIAH 8:10. And then PHILIPPINES 4:4 says “Rejoice in the Lord I repeat rejoice.”

It is not easy, but with God all things are possible. When Jesus is all we have left, we realize, He is more than enough.
