FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT

FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT

JAMES 1:19  “[19] SO then, my beloved brethren, every man must be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger.  [20] For the wrath of a man does not work righteousness before God.”

If the anger of a person does not help us to be in the right relationship with God, then we should rather let go of our right to be angry. We must not allow anything to come between us and God. Our anger not only brings separation between God and us, but also between friends. The Lord says, be angry but do not sin.

If my anger does not create the right relationship between me and God then it is wise to allow, practice and apply the fruit of the Spirit namely, love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control in my life.

PHILIPPIANS 4:7  “And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
