MY SHEEP LISTEN TO MY VOICE

1 SAMUEL 15:22  “There upon Samuel said: Does the Lord delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as in obedience to the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, to listen better than the fat of rams.”

HEBREWS 3:15  “As has just been said: “Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion.”

Today we need the Lord as our Shepherd more than ever before. There are so many false voices and news channels, preaching and teachings. We must know for sure when it is God and when it is not God.

Jesus says in JOHN 10:27  “My sheep listen to My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.”

When Jesus had Himself baptized, when He came out of the water God our Father said in LUKE 9:35  “And there came a Voice from the cloud saying: This is My beloved Son; listen to Him!”

God will not say “listen to Him” if we cannot hear Him.

The better we get to know the Word and spend time with God the better we get to know His voice. The more time we spend with someone the better we get to know that person and that person gets to know us as well.

We can learn and know a lot about someone by reading books about a person and by hearing from others, but that person doesn’t know you and me.

Therefore, we must spend time in a personal relationship with God to get to know His voice and He gets to know us. Then He will not one day say “Depart from Me. I do not know you.”
