On the 24th of April 2016, nine students who were seeking a greater challenge and wanted to test their endurance, strength and agility, participated in the fourth instalment of the Jeep Warrior Race held at Hobby Park, Krugersdorp. The “Warrior” is South Africa’s largest obstacle race, that attracts over 9000 adrenaline fuelled competitors looking for muddy fun. It is an endurance race where teamwork is important to help each other through the obstacles, this provided a good opportunity for team building. This absolutely exhilarating experience tested their endurance, fitness and mental strength. “You will get wet and dirty, you will be laughing and crying, but all in all, you will have a blast.” Those who completed the course could call themselves warriors after being challenged by world- class obstacles that involved jumping of a 20meter high platform, crawling through mud under a wire fence, battling up slippery slopes, running or swimming across water obstacles and facing a few variations of rope obstacles. Ultimately no obstacle was big enough for the team of HR warriors, who finished the race and represented House Regeneration in style and performance.
